"Where you stop trying to fix your mind and finally learn how to be with it"

You are invited to join your facilitator Dawn Deiman, CMT, E-RYT, YACEP at beautiful & serene Bridge Between The Worlds Retreat Center in Keswick, Virginia on Saturday, July 11th at 9:ooam.
Most people think meditation means clearing your mind…
and end up frustrated when they can’t.
This one-day retreat is where that changes...
You’ll be guided step-by-step through simple, powerful meditation practices—learning how to observe your mind instead of fight it, stay present when thoughts feel overwhelming, and experience real stillness (even if you’ve never been able to before).
Dawn Deiman, CMT, E-RYT, YACEP
This one-day meditation retreat is not about “doing it right,” emptying your mind, or becoming someone different. It’s about learning how to be with yourself exactly as you are—without pressure, without performance, and without needing any prior experience.
From the moment you arrive, the pace of your day begins to soften.
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, intentional space with light refreshments as we gather—not rushed, not forced—just a gentle transition out of the outside world. There’s no expectation to be anyone here. Just an invitation to arrive.
We’ll begin by settling into stillness together.

You’ll be guided into a silent Vipassana meditation, where I will walk you step-by-step through how to observe your mind—not control it. You’ll learn how thoughts actually show up… how they pull you in… and more importantly, how to see them without getting caught in them.
If you’ve ever felt frustrated trying to meditate, this is where things start to shift.
Instead of fighting your thoughts, you’ll learn how to meet them.
When the mind becomes restless, distracted, or even uncomfortable, you won’t be left guessing what to do. You’ll be guided in real time—learning how to stay present with whatever arises, with a grounded sense of steadiness and clarity.
As the day unfolds, we’ll transition into a different kind of awareness.
You’ll be introduced to a simple, powerful walking meditation, and then invited to step outside into nature—alone, in silence. No phones. No conversations. Just you, your breath, your body, and the world around you.
This is where something deeper often opens....
You’ll begin to notice what it’s like to be with yourself without distraction.
To feel the rhythm of your steps.
To observe your inner world while moving through the outer one. Not fixing. Not analyzing. Just allowing.
Many people discover here—for the first time—what it means to experience equanimity: the ability to remain steady and present, even when the mind is active or emotions arise.
We’ll return indoors and gather again—not to break the experience, but to deepen it.
Through a grounded and accessible Dharma teaching, you’ll be guided into understanding how stillness isn’t something you find outside of life—it’s something you can access within it. Even in the middle of chaos. Even in your everyday moments.
Then, something shifts.
We will gently break our silence, allowing space for integration. You’ll have time to journal what you experienced, capture insights that arose, or simply sit and let it all land.

From there, the day opens into a more spacious, nourishing rhythm.
Enjoy a beautifully catered lunch, connect with others if you feel called, or remain in quiet reflection. You’ll also have access to supportive wellness offerings—relax in the infrared sauna, unwind in the hot tub, or take your time along the walking trails, continuing your connection to nature and self.
After this period of restoration, we’ll gather again....
You’ll be introduced to another style of meditation, giving you the opportunity to explore what resonates most with you. This is followed by additional free time to reflect, journal, or connect—allowing your experience to deepen naturally, without being rushed.
As the day begins to come full circle, we’ll come together in a sharing circle.
This is your space to ask questions, speak to any challenges you experienced, and receive direct guidance on how to work with what came up during your practice. You won’t leave wondering if you’re “doing it right”—you’ll leave with clarity.
And then… we soften even more.
You’ll be invited to release and let go of everything you’ve observed throughout the day as you are guided into a deeply relaxing sound bath experience. Crystal singing bowls and gentle rain sticks will wash over you—supporting your nervous system in integrating the day, bringing you into a state of calm, balance, and restoration.
We’ll close the retreat with a final teaching—grounding everything you’ve experienced into something you can take with you into your daily life.
Before you leave, you’ll receive a curated gift bag—a small extension of the experience, so the practice doesn’t end when the day does.
This retreat is designed to meet you exactly where you are—whether you’ve never meditated, struggled to stay consistent, or felt like it just “wasn’t working.”
You will leave with:
This isn’t about escaping your life for a day.
It’s about learning how to return to it differently !
